Ok, here's the recipe... but don't tell anyone! (HA!- Don- are you reading this??) Betty Crocker brownie mix, substitute OJ for the water... add 3/4 pkg. of butterscotch bits, follow the rest of the box instructions, and wha-la! You have "Aunt Jane's Killer Brownies"!
I'll be baking some soon because Teresa has finally gotten online! Come on down to Ohio and we'll have a real party!
As for the Reiling "grits", yes, Don, I think they are the same as Aunt Mary's... my mother used to serve them "special" to her and Uncle Ed when they would have one of their famous "sleep-overs" at our house.
You are correct, Eileen, you will find neither recipe in the current Jane Kirby published diet book. I'll have to write the author and inform her about the sins of her namesake. Eat and enjoy! Love, Jill
