I was just thinking about my dad tonight and I thought I might write a few words about him.

Frank,(all of us boys called him by his first name once we were teenagers)was truely a mild mannered soul and in the thirty years I knew him, I only saw him get mad once. I never heard him say anything negative about another person(except the Reds)and he semmed to really flow with it all. He also had a dry sense of humor and often told jokes that we had heard many times before.
He was way ahead of his time in promoting race relations - not to bad considering his grandfather had slaves.
Perhaps this little storey tells it all; One hot summer day, us boys were giving Marge(mom) a hard time and in disgust she jumped into the car and yelled, "I'm leaving and never coming back"! We were stunned. A short while later Frank arrived home from work and we told him that Marge had left and wasn't coming back. His first words were, "But who is going to make dinner?"
Marge eventually returned - with dinner...
