Dear Family,
It has finally happened! I was able to get the long-awaited photos sent to cousin Dick - electronically! After months of toy-ing with the technology and selecting photos from our family albums, you may see the fruits of our endeavors on the website home page!
Some history of the photos: My mother, Jane Kirby Reiling, once a professional photographer from Boston- turned wonderful wife and mother in Dayton, took the photos of my grandparents, Edith and Charles Reiling. The photos were taken before I was born (1955). I never knew my grandparents, but my mother often talked to me about them and I sensed an expression of admiration she had for them. She said Grandpa never really wanted his picture taken, but he would pose for her. Hence, you may find him in his comtemplative pose, with pipe, on the home page.
I invite any other relatives to add to this history of what they remember of the photos of Edith and Charles. Love, Jill
