There have been so many wonderfull times at Christmas. Three that stand out in my mind are;

1. Taking the bus to Aunt Mary's(I believe it's 1964) and it just seemed like heaven to me. To this day cousin Joe talks about getting his "green cherries" there. Lot's of fun!

2. I think it was 1962 when we got a horse named "Bucky" for Christmas. It was a nice horse and that eventually led to us moving out to our wonderfull farm on SpringValley Rd.

3. In the seventh grade, our CCD class had a project to give Christmas to a poor family on Dayton's west side. We went to this home and it was there I learned a lesson that I will never forget and that is not everyone had these ideal Christmas's and that thid was truely "the spirit of the season". (Is just me or does anyone else feel that the "gift giving thing" has completely gone crazy and it seems that the main interest is in "shoppinng"?)

I hope everyone has a wonderfull Christmas!
Dan
