Joe,
It must be a bit unlike home to celebrate Christmas in
Southern CA. As a matter of fact, the Christmas song that
starts with Chestnuts roasting on a an open fire was
written in Pasadena in the middle of the summer on a very,
very hot day. The composer just wanted to think of something
that reminded him of a cold day in the East....and the
second line was "Jack Frost nipping at the nose"
"I'm dreaming of a White Christmas" has a line about being
December 24 in Hollywood....
Oh well, we in Ohio remember the great years and the
family parties. We also remember how your Mom and Dad went
all out for Christmas and that front porch den was lined
with wall-to-wall toys....or whatever...
....and then the popcorn every Sunday afternoon...
Anyway...Joe, Merry Christmas...
Dick
