Dear Reilings.
I have just started my Family tree, and have traced mt Family to Ireland. As yet I do not know what County in Ireland my Great Great Great grandfather was born in. ButI have always felt that the name came from Germany and not Ireland.
While I was in Dublin I came across information about a people called the palatines who where refugees from Germany in 1706 during the 30year war. They landed in England and Queen Mary sent some of them to Southern Ireland. Does any one out there have any information about this subject. Eg names etc. Thanks for the help.
