My brother Dan claimed to have climbed Mt. Whitney. I heard he nearly died from exhaustion and the park ranger had to rescue him. This reminded me of the time Ken Heet and I got lost on Mt. Mitchell in North Carolina. Aunt Edie wasn't very worried and seemed somewhat disappointed when we were found.
